If you are talking about the cottage suites, we stayed earlier this year in a cottge suite with a 13 year old and an 11 year old. This accommodation was booked through a travel agent (and obviously wholsaler).
I noticed the suite next to us had 2 adults and one child who appeared to be at least 14, if not 15, years old.
Some resorts have children classed as under 12 and a few have under 15. For example, in the Garuda "Bali on any Budget" Brochure the MBR classes children as under 16. Their family policy reads:
"Child Policy:
Standard Room sleeps 2 persons. Superior & Deluxe Rooms and Cottage Suites permit 1 child under 16 years free on extra bed."
So the MBR consider a child to be under 16 for accommodation purposes. Tell the agent you'll have the free bed for your 13 year old and pay for the bed for the 6 year old!
The Melasti's own web site says you can sleep 2 adults and 3 children in the cottage rooms.
