we stayed at bali garden with our then 9 yo son dec 07/ jan 08 and puri raja in march 08, both nice although puri raja is a smaller hotel it is much cleaner, great staff ,nice pool and good restuarant, great for brekky overlooking the beach, close to restuarants etc. in saying that bali garden was a quite a bit bigger, staff still nice but rooms are a bit rundown, (i believe they are being refurbished at the moment) directly opposite waterbom park ( great for kids ) and centro shopping centre right next door, close to the main kuta hub. i rate both as 3.5 star with puri raja winning 7 out of 10 to bali garden 5 out of 10. but its all about what you like, im sure you would not be dissapointed with either. enjoy enjoy enjoy
