the general thinking of the 150 or so expats I work with scattered across Indonesia is that the smaller word of mouth Balinese owned hotels haven't really increased prices when the usual yearly, power etc increases are taken into consideration.
What they have noticed though is that the larger hotels (mostly not owned by Balinese)in Tuban, Kuta, Sanur that had affordable conference facilities are now priced themselves out of the budget range.
