I take a bag of goodies, such as chuppa-chups for take-off and landing, water colouring books (you use water and a paint brush and the colours magically appear), a pack of cards (play fish), usually an age appropriate magazine (the ABC one is great for 2 year olds), i also used to take a glue stick and scissors for the magazine activities. I also found that they love to play with the headphones and lights, and a few times with the call button! Between this, the kids meal (don't forget to request one), a couple of walks up and down the aisles, you'll be fine.
