We had paid in full to our TA. She had the money sitting in transit account with the whole saler. So we got refunded.
If you pay with Visa, you are covered and will recieve a refund.
Fine print on your tickets say, your out of pocket if not insured.
We also tried to get the insurance company to pay the extra costs of changing airlines. No luck there. And the reason was because they went broke.
As soon as we pay the full amount we take out insurance also.
