Advice for payment of tegal sari

Can anyone who has stayed at the Tegal Sari and who has booked directly with the hotel advise me in regard to paying by sending my credit card details/ passport number etc?

I'm a little concerned about giving out those details and would appreciate feedback from others who have booked directly with the hotel.
