A friend cut her foot while in Bali a few years ago and was taken to BIMC. She had to pay $250 upfront before she could even go in to emergency and again when she returned to have the stitches out. If you didn't have a credit card (with credit still left on it) you would be stumped. I suppose in the long run it depends on your sickness or injury. Sanglah hospital got a very good report on here just recently.
