Not staying there until Feb but we stayed last time we were in Bali in Sept 2006.
I can't remember actual room numbers but requesting one that is not on the street side (i.e. above the reception/lobby area) is a good idea. We had a room on that side and got quite a bit of street noise in the early morning (well early when you're on holidays!). We couldn't sleep in!!!
Pretty much all rooms have balconies facing inwards to the pool so no real need to worry about that (unless you get one of the few rooms that don't LOL).
I'm assuming you've booked a superior or deluxe room that is. If you have a super deluxe, I'm pretty sure almost all of them are around the pool on the ground floor.
You'll enjoy it there, great location. So close to everything (well for us anyway).
