if the hotels are full, that means restaurants in the area are full. hotel owners get a return on their investment, and staff have a stable job, as well as tips and service charge on top of that.
people take taxis to the restaurants. so the taxi drivers have a job and earn tips on top of that, as well as commissions if they are lucky.
hotel staff get extra service charge and tips from guests.
people in the street get more business from selling whatever they sell.
it all has a flow on effect.
and as for kadek....he is also balinese and lost a hell of a lot more than many people in the collapse of air paradise. add quite a few zeros to the sum that many lost.
