Pacific Blue will be the only carrier operating direct flights between Brisbane and Bali from 01 December but only for two weeks, with Indonesian flag carrier Garuda this morning confirming that it would also return to the Qld market with three weekly direct A330 services from 14th December....
For its part, Garuda says it is honouring a commitment to the Queensland market by returning to Brisbane as the only full service carrier flying this route.
Details of the new Garuda flights are sketchy at this stage with the carrier saying it will shortly release fares.
As usual, Garuda will remain competive, a statement said. GA suspended its direct Bne-Dps flights early last year but the carrier's' senior GM Australia Poerwoko Soeparyano said "Bali is well and try back on the map."
