I'm on a concoction of drugs for back problems, including valium, Tramal and Paradex as well as prescription anti inflammatories. We travel regularily to Bali and I always carry a letter from my doctor describing my condition and the drug regime I'm on. I declare my prescription drugs on the incoming customs declaration and I've had my luggage given the cursory once over by customs officials on only two occassions but never been questioned regarding the drugs in my suitcase. Maybe I've been lucky but I dont think they are really concerned with the average traveller. After all if your trying to smuggle something in, your highly unlikely to declare it to customs are you?
