Another puri (palace) in Kerambitan is Puri Anyar and it also has cultural programmes in the day and at night. Two twin brothers live there with a fair amount of rivalry between them such that the night programmes are run by Pak Oka and the day ones by Pak Rai. The idea of which is head of the Puri depends on which you talk to. Also great debate as to whether Puri Anyar or Puri Agung which you visited is the most important. The architecture of Puri Anyar is very original and visitors can enter and see it just by asking.

Great to see mention of Kerambitan because I have been associated with it for over 15 years and our cutflower gardens are there so still spend a lot of time in the village. The warungs opposite Puri Anyar are great and no way can you spend more that Rp10.000 for a filling meal. Traditional babi guling is sold every day at one of the warungs - Rp6.000 with rice.
