i was there last week on a hotel inspection and there were works going on in the SOS bar. when i asked what they were doing, i was told that they were replacing the flooring and doing some renovations.
if they take down the SOS bar, they also have to get rid of the penthouse suite, and i dont see that happening.
despite what you read on the internet, the hotel has always maintained that the SOS bar will not be going anywhere.
the bar is due to re-open in the next week or so from what i am told.
