I was shocked yesterday afternoon to recieve a call from the Commonwealth Bank Securities Office advising me that my visa had been compromised - went through recent transactions with them, cancelled the card, a new one will be issued next week - I used my visa twice in bali and once since i have been back. I know it wasn't here, When i used my visa in the Billabong Factory Outlet - i left with a bad feeling as the girl at the counter punched in my card number - then walked away from the screen to swipe my visa, on her return she cleared my details from the screen (my details were there for all to see for i would say maybe 2 minutes) there didn't seem to be anyone else near the counter but this a man appeared from no where just watching anyway as we left the store i was talking and mentioned the man that appeared and had full view of my details and pointed out to the girls that was how a lot of card fraud happens, never imaging that it would happen to me, we have been lucky any transactions that have been made on the card other than the ones i advised them about - wont be honoured my card is now cancelled but the details still out there somewhere now useless to whoever tries access them. I thought i would remind people to be aware of those around you when using credit cards - as i said i felt uneasy about this man i wish i had said something at the time.
