able to book direct with Garuda many people do cancel when they realize that package prices are sometimes cheaper. This is why Garuda has now started using a booking fee. Also travel agents were apparently complaining that they were losing business as people preferred to do there own bookings! Another reason is that Garuda has put on more flights so some people have gone on alternate dates or times which may better suit them.
