We travel to Bali on a regular basis with at least 4 boards each time. We have travelled Singapore Air- they charge you along with your luggage- so you are allowed 20kgs per person including boards, Garuda used to let you have 20kg sporting equipment but changed that last year and also include in your 20kgs.
Next trip we are with Air Asia and my understanding is that we have booked 20kgs each person from Gold Coast to KL, but for the Bali leg will have to pay for all kgs over 15kg, but it is cheap aroung 40,000rp a kilo. Then on our return we have paid for 25kg on the KL to Gold Coast but will have to pay from Bali to KL.
And our 4 boards weigh aroung 17kgs. (but there are 3 of us)
