It's one of those things that you can not afford not to have. I had a problem many years ago cost me around $100 (Dr + ear drops). Like most people you would have thought that you would get it all back from the insurance well guess what, you first have to make a claim through medi-care then the insurance covers the remainder but when you take out the excess that most policies have in my case I got nothing back. But for major expenses you need to be covered.
