My aunty and uncle arrived in Bali 5 days before us and my aunty had only even been to bali 1 other time. They stood around waiting for their bags and then a porter came up and took them from them, and aunt thought that they were some official person from immigration and followed them over to the declaration area.
They then insinuated they give them a bottle of their grog which she naively (spell??) did and they then asked her for money which she did not have. Again no problem, they took her to the money changer and politely took her $50 aussie dollars worth!!!!!!!
Then to make matters worse, their transfer people took them to the Melasti Beach Bungalows in Kuta instead of the Melasti Beach Resort in Legian and dumped them and left. My aunty on her 1st trip 2 years ago had stayed at the Melasti Legian and wanted to stay there again. Not knowing what to do they stayed the night at Kuta and then sorted it out in the morning as it was close to midnight when they arrived.
I couldn't believe all the dramas they went through to get to their correct accommodation, but they were compensated through the travel agent.
