The difference between advertising and recommending is determined by the motives of the poster I guess.
When I was part of the rental pool at KTH, I was keen for people to stay there naturally, but I also thought that the accomodation was great and in a good spot if you like to be around Kuta, and I told people so.
These days we are not part of the income stream, but I still think that KTH has something to offer to the right visitors.
Of late I am happy to provide advise on KTH if asked, and for that matter provide info on Secret Garden, AP Inn, Sorgawi, Bakungsari, Indra Regent, MBR, White Rose, 51 Hotel, Nagasari (going now I think), Barong, Bali Gardenia and others that we have stayed in over the years.
Like Barry T, my connections with KTH are too well known for me to spruik it, but I will still give an honest opinion where required.
