Good restaurants nearby are Cat & Fiddle, Mama Putus, Donalds, Bobbies, Cemara Beach, Stiff Chilli and Apa Kabar.
The paved walkway along the beach goes for about another 2 kilometres south of the SBH. If you stroll down there you will come to what is possibly the best seafood restaurant in Bali. It is named Kesuma.
There are a number of markets just north of the SBH. If those are not enough to satisfy your shopping urges the Sindhu Beach Markets are a 20,000 rupiah taxi ride away. Otherwise it is about a 4 kilometre walk along the beach path. This takes you past a number of restaurants, large hotels, the cremation area and exclusive private homes.
