Arrived back from the Isle of smiles Sunday, back to work Monday to save and plan and pay for the next trip - We being Husband (Col) myself and two girls one daughter (Rhian) 16 and her friend (Moni) 15 - we had a blast. Its really great when you see Bali again through 1st time eyes, Moni had never been - we did the Safari Park what a fab day the girls and i got there early (thankyou forum) the girls fed elephants, rode elephants got involved in the elephant show, rode camels, nursed the baby Orangutan (sorry about spelling) she was very playful with girls and we got some wonderful photos, driving through on the safari bus was fun - Hippos are so big. Reccommend it to anyone. We went to the Garuda Wisnu Kencana - Cultural Park it was amazing to see the statues they have created just walking around this park is huge and awesome. Also went to Tanalot tide was in and the waves were crashing everywhere the life guard had to keep moving his red flag - even with all the our tourists it is still such a beautiful and peaceful place to wander around although last time i was there (about 5 years) there wasn't a surf shop or other boutiques like now. Did Waterbom always fun. The girls had there year 10 formal dresses made by Putu Tailor in Jl Padma Utara he was such a lovely man. We ate at may places - The Corner Bar, Billys, Breeze, The flying Piano, Seaside, Glorys, Sharkeys (at Jimbaran Bay) never had a bad meal anywhere. Moni loved the fact that she could shop every day - While following the girls on there very regular shopping trips - i was asked many times if i wanted a son-in-law, or the Oh La La beautiful girls both Rhian and Moni were very flatered very time and never got sick of the great comments they always got and they were always happy to have a chat. While we did all these things husband was off surfing as he always does the one day he did come shopping just walking around legian we managed to come back with a new board bag and a snow board bag for our son who is working down the snow at present funny how that happens. Husband also had another Tatoo done he always uses ibud tatoo in legian great guy and amazing work. The only down side through this whole trip was the rude australians we came across in various places - they make me cringe and the drunk obnoxious woman on our plane coming home. It was a great trip Col and i were there in June and to go again in August was really wonderful and i want to go back now. Looking forward to next years trip. If i think of more i may right again. Just remenbered we stayed at the Melasti such lovey staff there.
Cheers
Lynda.
