We stayed in BGH a few weeks ago. We paid over 6 months in advance, when we booked we requested one of a particular group of rooms on the second floor as I have a bad hip & knee and can't do steps easily. We sent an email to confirm & reiterate our room request, we were told they would do all they could to accommodate us. On our arrival we were given a room on the Fourth floor at the opposite end of the hotel to what we requested. When we showed them our emails dating back over 6 months there reply was that they were fully booked & that there was a lift I could use and they might be able to move us when some one checked out. We asked every day for another room, even pointing out that the lift was often unreliable, to be told sorry all booked out.They were many others in similar situations that had requested rooms and not been given them, even people that had paid for beachside rooms & been given streetside rooms. So good luck!!!!
