Unlike a credit card, there is no reason that a Balinese friend shouldn't have a Cash Passport card if they were challenged. There is no name or identification on the card...just a number. We use the second card for our friend to draw as, and when, we advise her by SMS.
The PIN is simply changed to one with significance to her and we top up with BPay.
The transaction fee is A$3.75 but the rate is not as good as using a credit card. About 10% less. We have chosen this way however,to reduce the risk to her.
I've used it to withdraw the maximum daily rate at ATMs in Bali.
