2 bottles in one suitcase?

My husband and I would like to take two bottles of spirits to Bali. We are going to only take one suitcase over with us. I know that between us we can have one litre each, but is it giong to be a drama having two bottles in one case?
Travell agent said to put them both in together and dont declair. Has anyone been in the same situation?
