We were staying at Puri Raja in july / August this year and had the unfortunate experience of dining in Tanjung cafe out the front of the tanjung. After we were seated we were harrased by many hawkers,not once did staff try to discourage them even after we had told the first few we just wanted a peaceful meal. Next it came time to order our meals,I declined to order anything as I had sense that things were not quite right, the wife then told me I was just fussy. Well out came the entree's of brushetta, never before had I senn anything like it, they were actually bread rolls with tomato paste and cheese melted on them just the same as a pizza sub. Now on to the mains, one steak with creamy mushroom sauce had off cream all over it and two of the other mains were served to the wrong people even after asking the water if they had the correct ones. Best yet to come was my daughters fried icecream. Eventually out came a sloppy mess of strawberry icecream and fried breadcrumbs, after taking one bite she told the waiter to take it back, unfortunatley for the table next to us they had ordered a fried icecream and within seconds out came the same desert tuned upside down. when I mentioned this to the girls mum she was furious. by far the worst dining experience in seven trips to bali.
