This was one explanation given to my sister...one wonders in what state some people's undies are in that has introduced the need for paper undies that well, are more sized for Barbie. I have never been offered paper undies at Prana or Cozy but then again I am not built like Barbie!
Have been to a number of spas in Oz and some do offer paper undies if you are going to be coated in gunk, optional but you have to wear something.
For facials though a paper shower cap type is becoming more common as the headband usually used tends to flatten ones' hair.
