off the plane, you walk until you get to the end of a queue, stay in the queue, send someone ahead to make sure the end of the queue is leading towards the Visa On Arrival stand/box/cubicle. Wait until it is your turn, walk up to said cubicle, hand over money, can be $25.00 US dollars or equivalent in Australian. They will give you a ticket to place in your passport. Next queue in the immigration line. Once at the next cubicle they will check your immigration card and your passport. This queue may start back where you have already queued. The Balinese don't believe in employing too many people in these very important positions. Once you have been checked it's off to the next cubicle, no queueing here and your passport will be stamped. Then it's a short walk through the x-ray machines and your baggage should be going around and around on that carousel thing. Collect your baggage and then queue in the declare ot not to declare line. You will pointed in the right direction if you have a white chalk cross on your baggage, they will want you to open up your suitcase, these are sometimes random checks that the customs people do if they have seen something on the x-ray of your suitcases that needs checking, usually a bottle that may or may not be alcohol. Once through this checkpoint it's a short walk out of the airport.
