Tues 12th August.....

after a sleep in its downstairs for Banana pancakes YUM...walked up to Rum Jungle and bought a painting at the art shop just near the captain cook bar I think ?, 250,000 and I'm happy with that.
Got a taxi to balistones and met Felicia. She is great and a mine of information, she certainly knows her stuff.I am tossing up whether to get marble floor tiles for my living area or ? and cant make a decision right now. Also met Leo her husband. They have some fantastic goods on offer.
Later on we went to Drops for lunch and met Utami who is the manager and friends with my mate Leonie who often stays there. Utami presented me with a lovely slice of Birthday cake with Happy Birthday Nelly writtehn on the plate...a really lovely surprise.Had a look at the Casa Oadma rooms and they are HUGE.They even have a dressing room/walk in wardrobe type room whcih would be great if you are staying a while.
After lunch went to the new Suri Wathi spa and had a foot bath and massage and manicure for 80,000. It was ok but there is very little privacy as there are only curtains between beds and close together.
Picked up our leather bags from Dolphin and they are great now.
Later on we taxi'd up to la Sal for dinner and this was my choice and what a way to spend your birthday !! They gave us Tuna Pate and home made bread rolls for starters then we ordered olives and calamari for tapas and then I had the most sensational seared tuna fillet ( served rare MMMMMMMMMMMMM)Even indulged in coffee and desert...Semi fredo with praline OMG !!!
Taxi'd back to 66 then walked to Ricky's bar where we had a nightcap and he shouted free arak attacks and it was time for bed !!My second birthday I've been lucky enough to spend in Bali !!
Wed 13th... slept in again after a great night.Had a lazy start and lay around the pool till mid arvo.
Went around to warung Yogya for lunch, tasty and cheap...always busy and our only complaint is it gets very hot in there. The kitchen must be a nightmare !!
Have started to come down with the flu ( always seem to get it GRRR)so had a nanna nap in tne arvo then ended up at Zanzibar for tea. Sat upsdtairs and enjoyed the view. Had the Fishermans dream which is a fave...it was nice but not as good as I remembered ( sometimes happens though doesnt it !!)Bought 2 more Cookbooks for gifts and 1 of those tattooed sleeves on the way home for a laugh.Great for the fancy dress basket !!
Till next time folks........we are off on the Biak Bike tour tomorrow !!
