Gold melted to make bangles

Hi guys i have read all the posts about this and still have a couple of questions.
How do i work out how much my gold is worth?
The Bali Rani jeweller and the big jewellery shop next to the Matahari
are they fixed price?
I want to have some bangles made like the $ coin ones but real gold, would appreciate any help,and how much should i pay.
