I expect a number of you know what I mean by my subject line.If you don't just ask.
About 5 years or so years ago my other half & I discovered these wonderful tools & we had much joy in playing tennis with the Mozzies in Bali over the next couple of weeks but alas on our return to Oz we were unaware that the powers to be had declared them a "No No" so they were confiscated.
The situation is that some naughty little girls & boys over the years whose parents had them, well the kiddies got hold of them without adult supervision & gave each other a bit of a sting more than the usual brotherly/sisterly pinch or punch would & way less than those darn BB guns would sting.Anyway the powers to be decided that since all Aussies were such irresponsible adults that we would not be allowed to have them in the country anymore.
We were so disappointed that we could not bring them home because we could see ourselves doing battle with local mozzies on both the home front & on the Fleurieu peninsula.
Anyway the news is - the other half went to the Royal Show in Adelaide today on the opening day & they are now available in Adelaide legally. My husband was amazed when he saw them & asked the bloke how he managed to get them into Australia,he was told they are produced at Holden Hill (Adelaide suburb) with just slight changes to the design & are now legally allowed. They are the battery operated ones & not the plug into the mains type.
He only paid $10 each for them at the Royal show but there is a web page address on the package & it states $30 on the web page.I think we got a good deal.Any Mozzies in Adelaide have been given warning.Anyone for Mozzie tennis ?
Maybe if the Royal Show has not hit your city yet you might be able to pick one up for the same price.
