For laundry. if you come out of the Oberoi and turn left there is a great laundry on the right hand side opposite Resor Seminyak. For Money changing - head right out of the Oberoi, about 20 min walk on Jl Laksmana there is a money changer BMC, on the right hand side opposite Lazumba cafe. It is the only reliable one in this area. As for eating out. If you walk to the money changer, you will pass a plethora of restaurants offering a variety of cuisines = Italian, Greek, Moroccan. Japanese, Korean etc. you are very spoilt for choice. But you should try Sarong, a new restaurant that has incredible food, decor and service. It's on Jl Petitenget - from the front of the Oberoi head left in a cab and it's just a couple of kms down the road. Best to make a booking if you go.
