I take all 3, as does my husband who spends 2 months each year surfing in remote places in Indonesia. Some people find Travellers Cheques a pain as you need your Passport to change them. For the amount you are taking & the length of your holiday I'd definitely take some if not most of your funds in TCs - besides, if a money changer knows you after a few visits just a photocopy of your Passport suffices. TCs are readily & easily replaced. Cash is gone for ever. Cards can be compromised.

As well as TCs, we have a CBA keycard that we use only for travelling with the amount we think we'll need deposited in it. If we need more or the card is compromised we have our usual keycard to fall back on.

Just a thought - I feel happier having my valuables padlocked into my suitcase when away from the hotel room. There have been instances of in room safes being accessed &, having the same sort of safe her in Oz, I can see that it can be easily done.

We paid $2 per CBA/transaction. The highest amount debited, apart from the transaction fee, was $181.61 for Rp1.5 million - the rate was around Rp8800/A$1 at the time.

Hope this helps.
