Wed 6th.....Poached eggs and bacon today and they do the eggs to PERFECTION YUMMO.
Walked around to Ricky's bar to drop donations for Smudge and met Benny another lovely driver who took us to the Animale factory outlet where I found some nice summery clothes.Came home and lazed around the pool then went acroos to Wayan and Friends for a light lunch YUMMY then back to Taka to finalise the Business Cards. 500.000 for 1000 cards. Took a bit of work as we copied the "Lucky Strike" symbol from a cigarette pack, he did a great job !!
Got our DVD order from Fortun8 and dealt with Putu who is lovely.Had a drink at Indo National then walked up to Panterai Greek restaurant near the Bintang Supermarket for tea.The meal was fantastic as usual. They give you a free drink and taste plate of dips as well with bread and by then I am staring to feel full !! The ambiance is lovely here too.Ran into some friends from Cowaramup that I didnt know were in Bali....lovely surprise !!Needed to walk home after that meal !! Cant believe how gorgeous the weather is...absolutely balmy this time of year LOVE IT !!
Thursday 7th...Julie (Rico's wife ) picked us up around 10am to go up to Pacung today...a pleasant trip with female company for a change ( nothing at all against the boys but its a different conversation than what is the usual ). We got to Pacung around lunchtimne and settled into our room. I had won the 2 nights accommodation at a fundraiser in Perth for Bali Hugs Association and booked with David and Moira by email. Pacung is so lovely and quiet and much cooler that down south. We met our hosts in the afternoon and they organised a driver Robbie ( same Robbie as outside the Rama Gardens in Legian as it turns out !!)to take us up to Lovina and Singaraja the next day. Had a very quiet night in, ate at the hotel across the road which was a very ordinary meal, definately my least favourite of the whole 2 weeks .Slept like a baby after the traffic noise of Padma St.
Friday 8th...... woke early with the roosters then went for breakfast in the restaurant...such a lovely view and watching the local people work the fields was nice.
Went to see the Top Deck restaurant at Candi Kuning markets then onto Lovina where we had a quick look at the black sandy beaches and the Aditya Hotel then to lunch at Rangoon Sunset cafe overlooking the beach, food ok service VERY slow.
On the way home we went to Git Git waterfall which was nice ..loads of steps down then up again !!
Also looked at the twin lakes which are lovely and the little villages and windy roads through lush green fields were so pleasant to see.
Got back to Pacung Indah around 4pm and then had a beautiful massage by Reisa at the hotel....she used lotion as I dont like oil and it was SENSATIONAL !!!
Had pizzas at the restaurant tonight and they were great. It is so quiet at night yet they do around 200 people at lunchtime !!!
Early night again, the peace is just lovely here.
