We were in Bali, now in Pontianak and shortly to Jakarta before returning to Bali. We feel perfectly safe, but then again we were living in Bali during the 2002 bombs and felt safe then too. It can only be personal choice for this. Go with gut feeling and ignore people who say you're stupid for any decision you may make either way.
