Just use common sense when out and about just as you would at home.
In life, there are no cast iron guarantees (ask the families of the poor people on the Spanish plane), but don't let the fear of these murderers affect the enjoyment of your life.
If it should happen in October, there will be some very happy Balinese and other Indonesians.
