Thank you everyone for your help and tips.
I'm going to Bali in two weeks so I will be better to sign up at the hotel, I can't better the rate I already have with the advantage card. I'm also assuming they will give me a temporary card or apply the discounts to my account so that will take out the hassles of not receiving the card on time if I sign up online.
I will be using the free night cert for a night in the Sofitel Sydney which would cost more than the sign-up fee so the food and beverage savings I make in Bali will be a bonus.
