just got back from bali and i paid 30.000 rupiah per day for a new honda scooter.20.000 rupiah wont get you anywhere with a corrupt bali cop .i always carry the phone no. of the australian embassy and my mobile so if they try that stuff with me i would just ring the embassy.have been told sometimes they demand 500.000 rupiah but when you tell them you are ringing the embassy they send you on your way.also if you have an accident and it is not your fault it will be and you could be paying for it for a long time so good luck.
