Always go late Oct/Nov/early Dec and also May/June, Aug/Sept, this year add July to that list (OK, I'm a victim!!)
I feel that you will have a lot less chance of rain in October, compared to Jan/Feb. There are a couple of things, probably of no significance. The landscape is a lot drier in Oct and for visitors not so attractive, although the beach would be fine. Pools etc are cooler after the winter months. If travelling from Aus School hols Jan, but not late Oct (if considering guests)
I had to go in March once and I had one day out of 14 that it wasn't almost torrential rain. If not rain still too wet to get around easily!! Mud would ruin any wedding dress!!
