School supplies are a great one as many children in orphanages are there so they can also get an education, so exercise books, pens, pencils, crayons etc.
please remember no soft toys or sweet lollies or treats.
Generally the people there will be able toget a lot more with your money than you in regards to meat, as they go to a market for it, so perhaps take some groceries, school supplies, and then donate the money that you would have spent on meat and explain that is what it is for.
Don;t forget to fill your empty bags up on the way over with yours/kids clothes that arent worn anymore, as long as they are still in great condition - they will be well used.
