some help please

One of our bali friends is pregnant and will be married in October. We cant be there, unfortunatly, but we would like to give them a present.
Number 1. we dont know what sort of thing to give them
and number 2. we dont know how to get (whatever) to them in time for their wedding

Is it usuall to give gifts for a wedding and also for a new born???
