it's natural to worry about your kids, we will be in Bali for Christmas/New Year and I am a bit worried about terrorists in Bali around this time, it's not so long after the executions and very busy in Bali.
The thought of terrorism also crosses my mind at home, when we are in the city(Sydney), at an airport(any airport), and at different functions or large shopping centres. I think it's just the world we live in now, and as a parent it is one of the many things that you think about in regard to your kids saftey.
It is hard, kids are so precious and you want to protect them from all the bad things, but at the same time you want to show them so much and give them all the best experiences. I just keep my eyes open and follow my gut feelings, I accept that I will be worrying about the kids safety and that is completely normal as a mum.
I also worry that we will be snorkeling around Amed and how far we will be from medical attention if a shark gets us!! then there is dengue fever, wild dogs, rabid monkeys and always lurking in the back ground is Bali belly, but at home we have brown snakes, again the sharks, funnel web spiders.... OK maybe I'm not normal, but it's never stopped us from enjoying life and living it to the fullest, even if I am freaking out the whole way!!!!
