Okay I can't really remember the order we did things so will just provide a summary.
Restaurants
We are obviously pretty easy to please, as I wouldn't say we had a bad mean anywhere. We took Travalan before each meal, and didn't get sick. I always do this but may have just been lucky. My friend missed her last one and got a slight case of belly on the last night.
Celsius - upstairs and back of discovery mall, great Mie Goring and Nasi Campur, lovely fresh juice. Recommend to rest those tired feet from shopping.
Hard Rock - Took a table at the back over looking the lovely pool, had a loose meat sandwich and pasta with blackened chicken. Prices were reasonable for a Hard Rock, Would probably not return, food was ordinary.
Ours - good food and prices.
Bianco - lovely food and presentation, the NRL was showing on the big screen and was really loud (even though we were out the back).
Legends - good food, stayed til late. Was a band with female singer and they let anyone sing karaoke with the band. Only place I went that served cider (my drink of choice).
Billy's - Excellent food, very friendly staff, had far too many drinks here!
Febris - Always reliable for a decent feed.
Aromas - Great vegetarian food and probably the best Mie Goreng of trip.
Porchetta - across the road from our hotel, lovely pasta dishes.
Zappaz - Went here to eat after a few cocktails at Ku De Ta, good food. Band was good too.
Kopi Pot - Lovely banana pancakes.
Had Coffee at Gloria Jeans and Starbucks, Gloria Jeans still seemed to have that UHT milk taste to it.
Also had room service a couple of times, was very reasonable and tasty too.
Ku De Ta - While we didn't eat here, I always love to head here for drinks at sunset. The cocktails are divine, I had three different Bellini's, a strawberry daiquiri, a Cosmo (love this drink) and some awful rum tasting cocktail. I know this place is not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it. Full of Europeans and quite a few Aussies this time, the Aussies were usually easy to pick (I won't go into how!). Although we did get thrown once, we started talking to this guy, tight jeans and t-shirt, streaked hair, dark tan with a bit of redness, and oversized ray bans. My friend asked him for a light and asked where he was from. Well ‘lo and behold with a strong Aussie accent ‘Melbourne', or should I say Malbun!
Dynasty Happy Hour - Met a friend here, soaked up the vibe and a love bucket each, I know they are for sharing buy we don't love each other enough! We were kind of glad we didn't end up at a hotel with a happening pool bar, as we would of spent all our shopping money at the bar and ended up eating at the hotel each night. Very easy to get caught up in the fun. We walked along the beach to the Legian Markets, buying Bintang along the way and nipping in to the occasional hotel to check out their loos.
We also hit Paddy's and Bounty this time. We were originally headed for another club, Embargo? but it was really loud 'doosh, doosh music' I am more of a disco chick. The first night we went to Bounty we armed ourselves with drinks, I really felt like I was drinking out of a vase. For those of you that don't frequent these places, the drinks were served in either a fat carafe style thing or a similar awkward looking vessel. We went another night to bounty and had a ball dancing to Grease (yes, showing my age) and songs of a similar era. Paddys was Ok, we drunk something out of a huge Tupperware thing, what is it with these places and these HUGE drinks. Although they all taste like cordial to me.
