Many years ago when I first started going to Bali, I brought a small phrase book while I was there, and I took it to the beach with me everyday and all the sellers used to gather around and we had such a ball, I would practice on them and they used to roar laughing when I would say something wrong, but would correct me. I had such a blast with these guys and it really makes a difference if you can speak the language. Just grab yourself a phrase book and go for it. You will be amazed at how quickly you can learn this language, it is so easy. Have fun with it.
