We stayed at the suites last year for 11 nights and loved it. We only had one breakfast (which was lovely) and ordered children's fish and chips a few times to eat pool side at lunchtime (which by the way were very delicious and only 25,000 rupiah), because we thought the meals were way too expensive. We looked into the meal deal and worked out there was no way we wanted to eat there enough to warrant buying the deal, and that the meals are so expensive that if you halved it and added the 21% tax, it still wasn't cheap. We went out for big mid morning breakfasts (kid's had cereal etc when they got up). Husband & I didn't really need lunch (Bintang is surprisingly filling...) but always had lunch type food in kitchen for kids, then went out for dinner around 5 - 6pm. The other reason we didn't eat there was although it was a nice hotel, we couldn't wait to get out and about and go to different restaurants. Enjoy your stay, we certainly did!
