If you want a good hotel with lots of young crew, the bounty or Barong are pretty good, cheap but not exactly fancy but you only sleep there...
Lots of pool partys ect, we stay at barong every year, very close to the beach, close to the cheap good eating places and the best clubs in bali (bounty, paddys ect) are litterly 100 metres down the road.
