Hi Antoni I was told that it was called Garlic Lane because the first business in the street years ago was a car hire called Garlic Car Hire and then everyone just called it Garlic Lane. We call it both. If we get a taxi we always say Jalan Sahadewa. Maybe you can tell us the Balinese reason why it is called Garlic Lane if you know?
