you can go to amed. leave early in the am, drive to amed, go to matahari hotel, you can rent snorkel gear from them, leave you stuff there, have lunch in there restaurant right there on the beach and swim in their pool. the snorkeling there is bvery good and very easier for beginers. not to far to swim, lots to see, and not currents. just be careful of the rocks on the way out. have fun!
