Recently poshed it up, at KP for a glorious 4 days.
The Room & Room Service left nothing to be desired.
Buffet breakfast really good and in particular the butter-fried mushrooms were great; no shortage of bacon. A lady desperately clutching her beloved Vegemite found it was provided anyhow.
Evening meals were well catered and plenty of choices. The Chef, Signore Roberto had the kitchen turning out impeccable Italian recipes but fell down on presentation, as the pasta was quite cold, on its gigantic plate, when it hit the table.
Beverages were all presented with flair from beer to the good array of International wines. No pushing by waiters, when guests wanted to have a sip or five, while inspecting the menu.
Friday night was Italian Pork night and this was a great offering to the Oz palate. This was accompanied by a Salsa demo' from a highly professional couple, who encouraged audience participation. At one moment, when the floor was fairly full of happy Salsifiers, an Afghani (I Think) woman of commanding dimensions, dressed in full, jet-black Bourka, a slit for the eyes only, strode across the floor in full panoply; a clash of cultures for the gazing ,mostly European diners.
The pool was for the fit only as no rail is provided for the help of those who need it.
Despite my, hopefully, constructive criticisms, my mark for this well-run establishment would be 95% with the encouragement for anyone who wants to spend a little extra cash to go there.
Selamat jalan. -:))
