Ideas wanted for car trip

Hi all...thinking about hiring a car in Bali in late Dec / early Jan ....any suggestions for a nice day trip..we are staying in Seminyak for 5-6 days..and Ubud for a few ( also doing Lombok).

also what are costs of car hire...and is oz licence ok ?
