After spending a week at the Barong and Poppies 2 it was time to move onto the Villa in the Kuta Royal Complex. We stayed in my friends villa here last year but as they were here too for their daughters wedding (more later) we had to book another one. We love staying in the Villas, its really central to everything especially when you like staying at the Tuben end.

The villa was beautiful, a new bedroom has been build downstairs and the bed was very comfy. There are a total of 4 bedrooms in this villa and we were sharing with our good friends and their 3 kids (same as last year). The caretaker - Redi is just lovely, he and his wife came every three days to clean and it was great to see them. He couldn't be more helpful, so yep we treated him just like one of the family (honestly how can you not, each year our family seems to grow and grow heheh).

Once we had settled in, it was time to get over to the Dynasty and say hi to everyone, especially Lily and Amy out the front, those 2 girls are so gorgeous, I always take little Lily, Made and Agung new clothes to wear so they were pretty happy to see me. We used to stay at the Dynasty when the kids were little but now prefer the peace of the villa, but its always great to go over and get a big cuddle from Charlie Brown heheh he is great. Couldn't believe how busy it was over there, kids everywhere and having a great time, the only complaint I would have had was the amount of rats around the resort, I was walking down the bridge from the lotus pond and felt this big hairy thing on my foot, bloody hell I had kicked a big rat and it rolled infront of me and then kept running, yep I nearly sh... !! I did tell the management so hopefully they will start getting rid of them as its not good when you can see them swimming across the pond!!

Before we left for Bali I had sent an email to Wyan from Bali Baik and booked 15 of us into the bike ride. We were picked up from the Villa at 7am in the morning and taken to Kintimani for breakfast (well it did take a while as one of the drivers got lost on the way - obviously it was his first time). It was pretty cold up there but breaky was ok, good start to the day. We then went by van to the Coffee Plantation, now I know why I don't drink coffee, won't tell everyone but its not pretty where those coffee beans have been before you actually drink it!!! Finally we were off to pick up the bikes. After we all chose the right bike and helmet we started on the ride, it was awesome, we rode through all the villages and high fived the kids, stopping along the way to learn about rice paddies, temples etc. It's a long ride but really enjoyed it!! We then went back to Wyans for lunch, which was beautiful, compliments to Wyans wife....his new baby boy is gorgeous and I was so pleased I had taken him a new blue outfit as he was dressed in pink (as they have 2 other daughters), he is so cute and really with the pink on he could have passed for a baby girl very easily. Also thanks to the generosity of Filo we had taken some teddies along on the bike ride so it was great to hand them out aswell.

Heaps more to come ......cheers Trace
